Tracy

As I sit here and watch David Ortiz continue to kill the Yankees, I can only imagine what the scene is in the family room at a certain address in Erie, Pennsylvania. Tonight's topic is Tracy.

Tracy is my dear sister. She never ceases to amaze me. I was nearly 12 years old when she was born, and a junior in high school when she started kindergarten. Fortunately, I lived at home until I was 22, and got to be around for most of Tracy's childhood.

In a nutshell, Tracy is a cool sister. Ever since she was young, she has enjoyed the things I loved. Some of them were largely influenced by me, others not so much. She loves the Yankees, she loves a lot of the same type of movies I do. It seems that she and I are never at a loss of words when we talk which is usually everyday thanks to Verizon Wireless.

Elaine and I have tried to include Tracy in our own family time as much as possible. Last winter, when she was having a rough time in life, we invited her to join us at Disney World for a long weekend with Mickey Mouse. She had a great time seeing my kids enjoy their first experience with Disney. It was great too, that Elaine let Tracy and I go back to the parks late one evening and ride some of our favorite rides together...just the two of us. I think we got back to the hotel around 12:30 am that night er morning. It was Tracy who convinced me to have Elaine, Sam, Jay and I to join them on their Disney Cruise this coming September. We can't wait!

At this point, I cannot imagine life without Tracy. Despite the gap in our age, I am 32, she is will turn 21 in a few months, we are incredibly close, and are comfortable sharing anything with one another. I thank the Lord for bringing her into my life.

Well Tracy, 7-1 Red Sox after 7 and a half innings. It doesn't look good for a win tonight, but the fat lady hasn't sung yet!

I love ya sis!

I've always admired the bond between you and Tracy. There's nothing like sibling love.

Tough loss. But the Yanks showed some character against Foulke. Every ball was hit hard, even the outs.

We've had some great times together, that's for sure. And I'm sure we'll continue that trend for the rest of our lives. Life would definitely suck if I was an only child.

I don't say it that often...but you know that I love you, even when you are a "butthead".
